III. Horizontal Operation Procedures

Pre-start Inspection: Ensure the pump body is horizontally and firmly fixed, with all anchor bolts tight and free of looseness. Check that the motor and pump body are fully submerged in water (or the heat dissipation device is in normal operation), and the motor interior is completely filled with clean water. Verify that inlet/outlet valves and filters work normally, pipelines are unblocked and free of water leakage, and the power supply voltage and grounding device are reliable.

Start-up Operation: First open the inlet valve and pump vent valve to exhaust air from the pump cavity, then close the vent valve after the cavity is filled with water. Jog the motor to check its rotation direction; adjust the cable wiring sequence if reverse rotation occurs. Then formally start the motor, slowly open the outlet valve, and adjust the valve opening to keep the pump running under rated working conditions.

Operation Monitoring: During operation, real-time monitor the pressure gauge readings and motor temperature. Stop the machine immediately if any abnormality occurs, such as overheating, abnormal noise or intensified vibration. Clean the filter screen regularly to prevent blockage, and shut down the pump at once if the sand content of the medium exceeds the standard.

Shutdown Operation: Before shutdown, close the outlet valve first and then cut off the power supply to avoid pump damage caused by water hammer. In winter, drain all accumulated water in the pump body and pipelines to prevent frost cracking. For long-term shutdown, clean the pump with clean water, apply anti-rust treatment, and store it in a dry and corrosion-free warehouse.

IV. Maintenance & Precautions

1. Daily Maintenance

Daily: Clean debris from the inlet filter screen, check the sealing performance of pipeline connections, and observe the motor operating status for abnormal noise and overheating.

Regular: Tighten anchor bolts and replenish lubricating grease weekly; check the wear of impellers and seals monthly and replace them if severely worn; disassemble and clean the pump body quarterly, and inspect bearing wear.

Medium: The pump is only suitable for clean water or slightly turbid water. Do not pump corrosive or high-particle media; replace with corrosion-resistant parts if special media need to be handled.

2. Prohibited Operations

Dry running without water is strictly prohibited (land test operation shall not exceed 1 second); do not restart the motor within 5 minutes after shutdown to avoid damage.

Do not modify the pump structure without authorization, and do not operate the pump when it is inclined or not firmly fixed.

Do not operate under unstable voltage (higher or lower than 10% of the rated voltage); rinse the pump thoroughly with clean water after pumping sediment-containing water.

V. Differences Between Horizontal and Vertical Installation

Монтаж: Вертикальний тип передбачає вертикальне занурення в глибокі свердловини з двигуном над корпусом насоса; горизонтальний тип встановлюється горизонтально на землі, що вимагає додаткових заходів кріплення.

Застосування: Вертикальний тип підходить для підйому води з глибоких свердловин з високим напором; горизонтальний тип використовується для підйому води з землі з великою витратою на неглибокій поверхні, що вимагає достатнього місця для встановлення.

Розсіювання тепла: вертикальний тип спирається на природне розсіювання тепла від свердловини; горизонтальний тип вимагає, щоб двигун був занурений у воду або оснащений дефлекторною кришкою, щоб уникнути поганого розсіювання тепла.

Технічне обслуговування: Горизонтальний тип легко обслуговувати та розбирати на землі; вертикальний тип потребує підйому для обслуговування, що є складнішим.

Продуктивність: Напір горизонтального насоса трохи нижчий, ніж у вертикального насоса, тому необхідно розумно налаштувати умови роботи.
